KharkivMusicFest is an annual classical music festival presenting famous Ukrainian and international artists in the second largest city of Ukraine. The Festival strives to create new cultural bridges between different regions of Ukraine as well as with other countries. KharkivMusicFest also has an important mission to develop numerous educational activities. These are cycles of lectures about music, the Children’s Symphony Orchestra, and the Lyatoshynsky competition for young composers. 

Also this year we had planned a bright international festival with many different projects. But because of the war we had to change our plans completely. Symbolically on our official opening day we held a concert in the underground, for people who had been living there for weeks. After that, we did a few more concerts in hospitals. And we are continuing our festival. Because despite the war, our mission remains the same – to develop Kharkiv and Ukraine, to unite people through music and to create where others destroy. So we are open for future projects and we welcome any suggestions from cultural institutions and any support from our audience. Because together our music will be stronger.
